Dr Ian d’Alton is a Visiting Research Fellow in the Centre for Contemporary Irish History, Trinity College, Dublin. In 2011-12, he was an honorary Senior Research Fellow in the School of Irish Studies, University of Liverpool and, in 2014, a Visiting Fellow at Sidney Sussex College, and a Senior Research Associate, Peterhouse, both University of Cambridge. He has written and spoken widely on aspects of southern Irish Protestant history and literature, and a co-edited volume of essays (with Dr Ida Milne) – Protestant and Irish: the minority’s search for place in independent Ireland (Cork University Press) – was published in March 2019.
