Michelle O’Neill is Sinn Féin Vice President, Leader in the Northern Assembly and an MLA for the constituency of Mid Ulster.
Michelle has been active in Republican politics since her youth.
Michelle served in local government as a member of Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council from 2005 until 2010 where she became the first woman to hold the position of Mayor of the Dungannon Council.
In 2007 Michelle was elected to the Northern Assembly where she went on to serve as the Executive Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development (2011-2016) and as the Executive Minister for Health.
Michelle is a keen supporter of Gaelic sports and is a member of Clonoe O’Rahilly’s, her local GAA club.
Michelle lives in Clonoe, County Tyrone. She has two children.
