Mike O’Connor is Assistant Head, School of Culinary Arts & Food Technology, Dublin Institute of Technology, he also works in Dublin Castle.
Michael is responsible through the Head of School, for the efficient and effective management and control of the School, and for its development in accordance with institute policy and plans. Leading, directing and managing the academic programmes within the School level including teaching, research, programme development and design, academic assessment and academic administration.
Michael also acts as advisor and leader in quality assurance issues and implements agreed quality assurance procedures and other procedures including progression, complaints processing, grievance and disciplinary, etc. Michael further, manages and directs staff including timetabling and evaluating staff performance. Michael also works with the Head of School as part of the School Executive/School management team and develops, agrees, implement and manages the School policy.
