Prof. Richard Aldous holds the Eugene Meyer Chair at Bard College, New York, having previously taught for 15 years at UCD.
He is the bestselling author of numerous books, including Great Irish Speeches, Reagan
and Thatcher, and published on 6 September, a biography of Tony Ryan.
Richard writes and reviews for the New York Times, the Irish Times and the Sunday Telegraph, and is a regular contributor to television and radio on both sides of the Atlantic. He is currently writing an authorised biography of the historian Arthur Schlesinger, who was Special Assistant to the President of the United States between 1961 and 1964.
