Alan Corcoran

Alan Corcoran is an award-winning broadcaster with a distinguished career in Irish media, known for his integrity, warmth, and deep commitment to public service journalism. As News Editor, Producer, and Presenter at South East Radio, Alan is the voice behind the hugely popular Morning Mix programme, a trusted platform for current affairs, community stories, and listener engagement across County Wexford.

Alan began his broadcasting journey with RTÉ, where he made his mark across both radio and television. He contributed to RTÉ Radio 1 and 2FM as well as TG4 working in a variety of roles. On Radio 1 he presented the programme “Ireland Tonight” that focussed on the Irish Diaspora and saw him link up Irish emigrants from all over the globe.

Since joining South East Radio, Alan has become a cornerstone of local journalism in the South East. His interviewing style—probing yet empathetic—has earned him the trust of both listeners and guests. Whether covering breaking news, holding public figures to account, or sharing powerful human-interest stories, Alan consistently brings clarity and compassion to the microphone.

Under his editorial leadership, Morning Mix has become a vital part of daily life in Wexford. Alan’s work has been recognised with numerous honours, including IMRO Radio Awards  { 7times nominated for Speech Broadcaster of the year} reflecting both his journalistic excellence and his connection to the community.
