Since first taking to the stage in St Michaels Theatre with New Ross CBS production of Joseph, Todd has taken roles in numerous productions all over the country. Particular favourites include Don Quixote/Cervantes in Man of La Mancha, Perchik in Fiddler on the Roof, Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls (AIMS Best Singer Nomination), Issac in The Hired Man, Tommy Albright in Brigadoon, Prez in The Pajama Game, Tony in The Boyfriend, The Pirate King in The New Pirates of Penzance, Sweeney in Sweeney Todd (AIMS Best Actor), Walter in Chess, Leon Czolgosz in Assassins (Best Show AIMS), Wolf in Into the Woods, Bill Hickock in Calamity Jane and Mack Sennett in Mack and Mabel for which he won the Frank Patterson Trophy for AIMS Best Male Singer.
He also had the very fortunate opportunity to work on three world premier musicals including Pentimenti, Larkin and Seagulls Dance.
Todd is a founding member of Full Circle Theatre Company whose productions of The Hired Man and Into the Woods won the Best Show Award at the Waterford international Festival of Light Opera. The Hired Man also won Best Overall Show in AIMS. Full Circle also toured extensively with Tommy Fleming’s Voice of Hope Tour.
Concert work has seen Todd appearing regularly in both in The Helix Theatre and with Glasnevin Musical Society in the National Concert Hall. Todd has also performed at Centrestage, Covent Garden and at the prestigious Red Cross Gala Ball in London’s Royal Albert Hall. He also had the pleasure of providing backing vocals for Josh Groban’s on two separate occasions at the 3 Arena.
Todd now lives in San Francisco but loves having the opportunity to perform in his native New Ross, most recently performing the National Anthems for New Ross’s Presidents Day Celebrations for the White House Historical Association. He is excited to be part of the Kennedy Summer School.
