Dubliner Eileen Dunne has been involved with the Kennedy Summer School for a number of years now.
A recent retiree, she spent 42 years working in RTE, most of it in the Newsroom, where she worked as a Newscaster, covering most of the biggest stories of the last four decades.
Her fascination with the Kennedys came from her father, Mick, RTE’s first GAA correspondent but she’s also passionate about European affairs and was international President of the Association of European Journalists between 2012 and 2016.
Eileen is married to the actor Macdara O Fatharta and they have one son, Cormac.
