Alison Martin is a writer and historian from Belfast. She completed a degree in Modern History and Theology at Queen’s University Belfast in 2011 and then an MA in Irish History at the same institution. Her research focuses on the Irish revolutionary period (1916-1923). She has written extensively on the subject of Michael Collins. Alison’s articles have been published in History Ireland, the Irish News, Saothar: Journal of the Irish Labour History Society and the Irish Story website. She is a regular contributor to Ireland’s Own magazine. She has also provided research for a number of upcoming historical monographs.
