Larry Donnelly

Larry Donnelly is a Boston born and educated attorney who holds both American and Irish passports.  Larry relocated to his ancestral Ireland to take up a visiting fellowship in the School of Law at NUI Galway in 2001.  He is now a Lecturer and Director of Clinical Legal Education in the law school.  In addition to his teaching and scholarly activities, Larry is a regular media contributor on politics, current affairs and law in Ireland and the United States and is a bi-weekly columnist for TheJournal.ie.  In October 2021, Gill Books published his The Bostonian: Life in an Irish American Political Family.  The Bostonian is part-memoir, part-transatlantic political and cultural analysis and has drawn critical acclaim from reviewers both in Ireland and the US.  Larry is also one of the directors of the Kennedy Summer School.
