
Dr. Miriam Nyhan Grey has been affiliated with New York University’s Glucksman Ireland House in various roles since 2008, having completed her doctorate at the European University Institute, Florence. A regular co-editor of the American Journal of Irish Studies, she was the inaugural Associate Editor of the NYU Press Glucksman Irish Diaspora Series. For almost a decade she hosted and produced the weekly slot of ‘This Irish American Life’ on public radio in New York City. In 2019 she originated NYU’s Black, Brown and Green Voices and she is a founding board of the African American Irish Diaspora Network. Earlier this year, under the auspices of the Royal Irish Academy in collaboration with the Department of Foreign Affairs, Miriam curated the Into Europe: Ireland and the EU, 1973 to 2023 exhibition. Later this year a collection of essays she has co-edited will be published in the Goldstein-Goren Series in American Jewish History, Forged in America: How Irish-Jewish Encounters Shaped a Nation (NYU Press).
