Eunice Kennedy Shriver’s Special Legacy- A Tribute Night
The closing event on the summer school will be a special evening of tribute to Eunice Kennedy Shriver, co-founder of the Special Olympics, who accompanied her brother John on his presidential visit to New Ross in 1963. The evening will include video presentations on her life and work and on her visit to New Ross during the 2003 Croke Park Special Olympics. There will contributions from Mary Davis, Fergus Finley and Former Rugby International, Keith Wood. There will also be entertainment by a number of gala performers including a musical tribute from a group of Special Athletes.
